For maximum enjoyment, we recommend you to have experience paddleboarding and be confident with your balance on flatwater or slow moving rivers and harbours, but if you are still relatively new to SUP or feeling rusty after a winter off the water, we will have a variety of regular tours and coaching offerings available all year round to help you build confidence, skills, balance and fitness. Please note, you will be asked to complete a personal details and medical information form after booking. Guests arriving with a physical or psychological condition or contraindicator that were not declared in the personal details form may be excluded from participating in certain activities. While our coaches and guides do have public and private liability insurance - Personal travel insurance is absolutely essential when venturing abroad. When selecting a travel insurance policy at a very minimum you should be covered for medical expenses and emergency repatriation.We strongly recommend that you purchase insurance the same day that that you book your holiday in case of unexpected circumstances and that your policy covers cancellation, personal liability, paddleboarding, Grade 3 white water activities, curtailment, loss of luggage, personal belongings and anything that may be specific for you (possible pregnancy, pre-existing medical conditions etc)Please ensure you have your policy number and emergency telephone number for your insurance company with you on the expedition (a card or email with contact details for example). If this is unavailable please ensure you have the necessary information required by your insurance company in case of an emergency.

Please do not worry about packing, all specialist equipment including neoprene clothing, shoes, PFD and safety equipment is included in the price.You will mostly need your normal paddling equipment and clothes, swimwear, a towel and holiday clothes for the free time in the afternoons and evenings.If you own your own neoprene and paddling shoes, you are more than welcome to bring them but if you would prefer to save luggage space everything is available in resort. We are happy to provide you with a recommended kit list and advice on where to buy if needed, if you would like more specific guidance.

Because we have organised this trip so far in advance, not all airlines have released their flying schedule or prices for our dates of travel yet. The holiday also needs to meet minimum numbers before the holiday is confirmed and you purchase flights. Our in resort transfer will be collecting us from Venice Marco Polo Airport I have set travel and flight alerts for the major London Airports and Airlines and once we have reached minimum numbers and all flight options are released I will notify the group of our options via the whatsapp community. We will most likely fly from London Gatwick or London Heathrow with Easyjet or BA depending on the offers, times and pricing available at the time. If you wish to travel separately from another airport and spend extra time in Venice before or after your trip, you are very welcome to, however you will need to ensure you are at Venice Marco Polo in time for the transfer to Bovec.

September in Slovenia is the end of summer and start of autumn..Temperatures range from 21-23 degrees on sunny afternoons with cooler temperatures at night. We've selected this time of year to allow good river flow from showers and the mountains, but still retain the benefits of warm sunny days and warm water after summer. Also the surrounding mountains and trees in our locations will begin to show vibrant red and golden colours making an already beautiful area even more stunning. As it is a mountainous region, think along the lines of the great british summer/autumn and pack for all weathers with SPF, shorts, t-shirts and Swimwear, but also some warmer layers and a raincoat which hopefully won’t be needed but is better to have just in case! Most of the areas that we paddle in will be sheltered water and protected by the surrounding mountains, cliffs and gorgeous, however your safety and enjoyment is paramount, so in the event of adverse or unsafe weather, we reserve the right to adjust the itinerary and locations if needed.

Paddling under the influence or while hungover isn’t recommended and can be a safety risk, but our hotel has a bar and Bovec has a variety of bars and restaurants and even wine tasting and micro-breweries locally for guests to enjoy. There will definitely be opportunities to let your hair down and relax with a drink or two if that is your thing, but also lots of opportunity to avoid and find alternative activities if you would prefer. All alcohol is at our guest’s own cost.

Where we cancel your package under the applicable package travel provisions you will receive a refund of payments made to us. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
