Tourer's are most suitable for flatter waters such as rivers, canals and cruising on longer journey's.   They can still be used on the sea and in harbours too, but require greater core strength and balance on choppier waters than an all-rounder.
 
The longer, sleeker design helps the board track straighter and glide on the water with reduced effort and greater speed to help you stay out on the water for longer.  The extra length, depth, volume and additional bungees on the board, also makes it ideal for taking luggage for multi-day adventuring or extra passengers such as children or dog's to join in the fun.
